EL FUEGO Early Music Ensemble presents “The last Conquistador” (The last Conqueror): narrative, music, poetry and art from Spain’s Golden Age and New Spain colonies (Today’s Mexico and New Mexico), surrounding the time of Juan de Oñate y Salazar (1550–1626). Salomé Sandoval, voice, vihuela, baroque guitar and artistic direction; Roman Testroet, voice; Molly Barnes, and Sarah Lodico Wines viols; Charles Wines, winds; Laura Grimaldi, percussion.
